Welcome back to the Outfield Waiver Wire, where we look at the best outfielders available in at least 50 percent of Yahoo leagues. Consider this column your recommendations for Week 11 outfield waiver wire pickups.

We're getting a bit deeper into the season now, but there are still plenty of guys who can help you floating around on the waiver wire. Not every move can be a blockbuster. Value is value, wherever you can find it. This column is designed to help you do just that.

Let's get down to business.

Week 11 Outfield (OF) Waiver Wire Targets

Hernan Perez, 2B/3B/OF, Milwaukee Brewers (43% owned)

Well, this was unexpected. Perez hit 13 home runs and stole 34 bases in just 430 plate appearances last season, and the power seemed much more likely to regress than the steals. Yet here we are, and Perez already has nine homers in fewer than half of last year’s opportunities. He’s only stolen three bags on four attempts so far, but Perez has upped his hard contact and trimmed a half-dozen percentage points from his strikeout rate. His two seasons with Milwaukee essentially add up to a full season at this point, wherein he’s produced a .271-76-22-85-37 line. Tough to argue with that.

Cameron Maybin, OF, Los Angeles Angels (30%)

If you need steals and Maybin is still available in your league, please stop reading immediately and go pick him up. He’s only been back from his (10-day minimum) DL stint for two games, and he’s stolen six (!) bases in that time. That brings his total to 17 for the year, in just 193 plate appearances. But Maybin has also been hitting well. You can’t steal if you don’t get on base, and he’s hit an absurd .420/.532/.700 over his last 13 games.

Mallex Smith, OF, Tampa Bay Rays (29%)

Smith would be a solid consolation prize for those of you with a need for speed if Maybin’s been snatched up. The 24-year-old has logged eight hits (including a homer) and four steals since taking over center field for the injured Kevin Kiermaier a few days ago. While you shouldn’t expect him to keep racking up hits at that rate, the wheels are Smith’s calling card and – with apologies to Peter Bourjos, who is apparently still playing – he basically has no competition for starts right now.

Bradley Zimmer, OF, Cleveland Indians (17%)

Zimmer was a top prospect who’s hitting .250/.328/.517 and is on a 35 HR/27 SB full season pace. It’s baffling to see his ownership rate hovering in the teens – and a little frustrating, too, since he’s owned in all of my leagues already. He’s not going to be anything more than a liability in batting average with a strikeout rate around 30 percent, but he’s been a considerable asset everywhere else.

Delino DeShields, OF, Texas Rangers (6%)

DeShields went 0-for-4 on Sunday, but prior to that game had multiple hits in each of his previous four contests. He’s swiped five bases over the same span. There’s not much hope of him maintaining his current line of .293/.350/.357; he’s being propped up by a .412 BABIP right now. But DeShields makes for an excellent speed play in deeper formats, and he’s barely owned at the moment.
