Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (9/8/17): MLB DFS Advice for FanDuel and DraftKings

As has been the case for the majority of the season, we have a huge Friday slate following a smaller Thursday slate. There are plenty of options in all of the pricing tiers for this slate. That means we can construct our lineups in multiple different ways, depending on where you want spend and save money.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 9/8/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider

Max Scherzer - vs PHI (DK - $13,300, FD - $11,600)

Scherzer has been enjoying an elite season, as he enters this game with a 13-5 record, 2.19 ERA, and 12.1 K/9 through 26 starts. He gets an elite matchup against the Phillies, and Scherzer is a -325 favorite in a game set at only 7.5 runs. Scherzer isn't going to come cheap, but he's far and away the best pitching option on the slate tonight.

Luke Weaver - vs PIT (DK - $8,400, FD - 9,000)

Weaver has thrown in eight games this season, but he only started those five games. Overall, he has a 4-1 record, 2.50 ERA, and 11.3 K/9, but he has looked better while starting. He gets an outstanding matchup against the Pirates, and Weaver is a -173 favorite in a game set at 8.5 runs. He makes a great option in all leagues tonight.

 

DFS Infielders to Consider

Travis d'Arnaud - C, vs CIN (DK - $3,600, FD - $2,600)

d'Arnaud has been playing well recently, as he has been a consistent option with tremendous upside for his price tag over his last 10 games. He gets a great matchup against Amir Garrett tonight, and d'Arnaud has been a better hitter at home this season. He's one of the only healthy starters left for the Mets, and he can be used in all leagues.

Yonder Alonso - 1B, vs LAA (DK - $3,700, FD - $3,100)

Alonso has looked good over his last 10 games, as he's hitting nearly .300 with some power over that span. He has been a more consistent hitter against right-handed pitching this season, and he gets a good matchup against Ricky Nolasco tonight. Alonso makes a solid option in all leagues for his price tag.

Daniel Murphy - 2B, vs PHI (DK - $5,100, FD - $3,800)

Murphy has been playing at an elite rate recently, as he's hitting over .350 with an OPS north of 1.000 over his last 10 games. Murphy is an extremely consistent option that comes with tremendous upside. He gets a great matchup against Jake Thompson, as well. Murphy isn't going to come cheap, but he can be used in all leagues on this slate.

Alex Bregman - 3B, at OAK (DK - $4,100, FD - $4,100)

Bregman is a huge part of the Astros offense, which is one of the best in the MLB. He's a fairly consistent player that comes with a tremendous combination of speed and power. Tonight, he gets a great matchup against Jharel Cotton, and Bregman can be used in all leagues.

Jorge Polanco - SS, at KC (DK - $4,200, FD - $3,800)

Polanco has quietly been on fire for the Twins for quite some time now. Over his last 10 games, he's hitting over .300 with an OPS over 1.100. He has also displayed good speed over that span, as well. He gets a great matchup against Ian Kennedy, and Polanco is a player that can be used in all leagues on the slate tonight.

 

DFS Outfielders to Consider

Robbie Grossman - OF, at KC (DK - $3,600, FD - $2,900)

Grossman has been struggling a bit recently, but he has been a significantly better hitter on the road. Tonight, he gets a great matchup against Ian Kennedy in Kansas City. Grossman is playing in an extremely high upside offense, and he's a solid tournament option on this slate.

Josh Reddick - OF, at OAK (DK - $4,600, FD - $3,500)

Reddick has caught fire over his last 10 games, as he's hitting well over .400 with with a slugging percentage around .500 over that span. He's a player that has hit right-handed pitching well this season, and he gets a great matchup against Jharel Cotton tonight. Reddick can be used in all leagues tonight.
