DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider
Ervin Santana, MIN vs SDP (DK - $10,900, FD - $8,800)
Santana is one of the top pitching options on the slate tonight, and he is a bit under priced on FanDuel specifically. He has had two rough starts in a row, but prior to those, he seven consecutive starts with six or more strikeouts and only allowed four or more earned runs once. His match up tonight is also super favorable, as he is up against the Padres, who have a 25% strike rate vs right-handed pitchers. Santana makes a good play in either cash or GPP formats, because he has the strikeout stuff to get you a good base of points, and the upside from the match up. Santana is cheaper than the top options, so if you are looking to save a bit of money, he is in a great spot.
Kevin Gausman, BAL @ TOR (DK - $8,200, FD - $8,500)
Gausman is really interesting tonight, for the fact he has faced Toronto three times this season, and come away with three strong starts. In those three games, Gausman has only given up two earned runs, while racking up 17 strikeouts. He seems to have the Blue Jays number this season, and makes a good GPP play. Toronto has a 20.9% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitching, and their offense isn't as threatening as it was last season. The price on Gausman is right, and will allow you to get some solid bats in your lineup.
DFS Infielders to Consider
Alex Avila - C, CHC vs NYM (DK - $3,500, FD - $2,600)
Avila has a .383 wOBA and a .220 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers. Contreras came back from the DL last night, but it was announced that he wouldn't be playing the full game. It seems they are easing him back into playing, which leaves Avila in a spot in the lineup. He is cheap on FanDuel, and has really solid numbers against righties.
Joey Gallo - 1B, TEX vs SEA (DK - $3,800, FD - $3,800)
If you are looking for a player with power upside, Gallo can be your guy tonight. He is at home in a great hitters park, and comes into this game with a .365 wOBA and a .351 ISO vs right-handed pitchers. Gallo is facing a pitcher who is giving up a .339 wOBA to left-handed hitters. Gallo hasn't had a home run in nine games, so with this match up, he seems due for one.
Logan Forsythe - 2B, LOS @ SFG (DK - $2,800, FD - $2,800)
Forsythe seems a bit too cheap tonight, considering he has a .390 wOBA and a .440 OBP this season vs left-handed pitchers. With that price tag, you can play him in any format, strictly for the salary relief. He isn't at the best park for hitters, but his splits are too good to pass up, even if the Dodgers offense has been struggling.
Travis Shaw - 3B, MIL vs PIT (DK - $4,600, FD - $3,100)
Love me some Travis Shaw, espcially when he is up against a righty. This season Shaw has a .381 wOBA and a .268 ISO vs RHP, and is up against a pitcher who is giving up a .433 wOBA to left-handed hitters. This is a prime match up for Shaw, and really all of the Brewers, which makes him a option for a stack tonight. Also, this game is in Milwaukee, which is a great hitters park.
Trevor Story - 22, COL @ ARI (DK - $4,300, FD - $3,000)
Story is away from Coors Field, which may seem like a negative park shift, but he is at Arizona, which is the second best hitters park in the league. He has a .458 wOBA and a .418 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers. His price on FanDuel seems way too low, and a threat to go deep.
DFS Outfielders to Consider
Adam Duvall - OF, CIN @ STL (DK - $4,000, FD - $2,800)
Something might be off with FanDuel's pricing today, because Duvall is yet another player who is priced too low. Duvall has a .315 wOBA and a .231 ISO this season vs right-handed pitching. A bit of a negative park shift leaving the Great American Small Park, but is facing a pitcher who is making his third career start, so he is in a spot to put up some points.
Ryan Braun - OF, MIL vs PIT (DK - $4,300, FD - $3,400)
Braun has a .351 wOBA and a .222 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers, which makes him a great one off in GPPs. He is at home in a solid hitters park, and his viable in both cash and GPPs. The Brewers are looking like they might be one of the more popular stacks for the night, so gets some exposure to them, that has power upside.
J.D. Martinez - OF, ARI vs COL (DK - $5,500, FD - $4,600)
Martinez is on a crazy streak right now, as he has four home runs in his last five game, which is following his game last week where he had four homers. The man can seemingly do no wrong at the plate, and comes into this game with a .382 wOBA and a .333 ISO vs right-handed pitchers. At home in a great hitters park, he is super expensive, but oh man is he crushing the ball right now.
