We have a nice eight game slate for NHL today, and nice way to start the weekend, as we are a few pounds heavier. All teams on a full day rest, so we should be in for some high quality action.
Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually 5.5 goals is average, so targets games at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 11/24/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider
Dustin Brown - W, LA @ ARI (DK - $6,100, FD - $5,700)
Brown only has one point in his last four games, but is in a spot to get back on track, since he is up against Arizona, who are giving up almost four goals per game. Brown plays on the first forward line, and the top power-play unit, so we know he will be getting a ton of ice time. The Kings have a 56 Corsi For per 60 minutes, which is great, since they are going up against such a weak defensive team. Brown has 20 points in 22 games this season, and is taking nearly three shots per game, which makes him a good cash game option for tonight, or stack him up for GPPs.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins - C, EDM @ BUF (DK - $5,700, FD - $5,500)
Nugent-Hopkins is up against the Buffalo Sabres, who are giving up 3.5 goals per game, making this a very favorable match up. He has 17 points in 22 games, and taking over two shots per game. He is on the second forward line and the second power-play, against a Buffalo team who takes a lot of penalties. This is a prime spot for Nugent-Hopkins, and should be viable in all formats tonight against such a bad team. The Oilers have a Corsi For of 63 per 60, so we know they try and generate a lot of scoring chances.
Taylor Hall - W, NJ vs VAN (DK - $7,100, FD - $7,300)
When you are spending up at forward, you are looking for a player with consistent points, as well as plenty of upside, Hall has that all. He has four or more shot attempts in five straight games, and is is averaging one point per game. He is on both the top forward line and the top power-play unit, so there will be plenty of ice time for him. Also chips in a bit with some blocked shots, which is just extra DFS points. Good in any format tonight, and should be considered if you are looking for a one off in GPPs.
DFS Defenders to Consider
Kevin Shattenkirk - D, NYR vs DET (DK - $5,500, FD - $6,300)
Shattenkirk had a seven game point streak going about a week ago, but now hasn't recorded a point in four games. He is seeing around 20 minutes per game, is playing on the top forward line, and the top power-play unit. He has just been on the wrong side of variance over the past few games, and is now up against a Detroit team, who gives up nearly three goals per game. He takes over two shots per game, along with blocking over one shot per game. Plenty of DFS value, since he likes to fill the stat sheet in multiple areas.
Jaccob Slavin - D, CAR vs TOR (DK - $4,100, FD $3,800)
Slavin offers a bit of salary relief, and brings a good consistency of points. He plays on the top defensive pairing and the second power-play unit, and is up against Toronto who is giving up three goals per game. Slavin is taking over two shots per game, and is also blocking over two shots per game. Great DFS value for a guy who is cheap and can rack up points for not doing too much on the offensive end. Good for cash games, since his price will allow plenty of roster flexibility.
DFS Goalies to Consider
Sergei Bobrovsky - G, CLS vs OTT (DK - $8,100, FD - $9,000)
Bobrovsky is one of the highest priced goalies on the slate tonight, but he is a -160 home favorite according to Vegas, and is in a spot to pick up the win. Bobrovsky has 13 wins in 18 starts this season, and is allowing under two goals per game, which is among the best in the league. The Blue Jackets have allowed the third fewest goals this season, which means not only their goalie, but their defense is also playing great. He is looking like one of the cash game locks of the night.
