Daily Fantasy Hockey Lineup Picks (12/02/17): NHL DFS Advice for FanDuel, DraftKings

We have a big 10 game slate to kick off our weekend, and there are good options across the board. High priced guys with multi-point upside, along with some value so you can fit everyone in. Looks for some solid stacks, and go after home favorites for goalies.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually 5.5 goals is average, so targets games at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 12/02/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Tyler Seguin - C, DAL vs CHI (DK - $7,400, FD -$8,400)

Seguin and the Stars just played the Blackhawks the other night, where he finished with one assist, and seven shots. Great production out of him, and given how much he shoots the puck, he can put up points in a hurry. He is on the first forward line and the first power-play unit, so we know he has the ice time every game. Chicago just put their starting goalie, Corey Crawford on IR, so they will be down to their backup, who will be starting on the road. Great play in any format tonight, just have to find a bit of salary relief to get up to his price.

Alex Galchenyuk - W, MON vs DET (DK - $4,800, FD - $4,800)

Galchenyuk has four points over his last four games, and looks to be getting into a nice groove after a slow start to the season. He plays on the third forward line, but the first power-play unit, so a nice bit of minutes going his way each and every game. He is averaging 2.5 shots per game and can chip in with a blocked shot here or there. Galenchenyuk played the Red Wings the other night and had a strong game, so look for him to run it back, now on home ice.

Taylor Hall - W, NJ @ ARI (DK - $7,400, FD - $7,200)

Hall has a very favorable match up tonight, since he is up against Arizona, who have given up the most goals in the league this season. They are simply terrible this season, and you want to attack them any time they are on the slate. He has five points over his last three games, not including last night, and sees time on the first forward line and the first power-play unit. Is a good option for cash games, or as a one off in tournaments.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Zach Werenski - D, CLS @ WAS (DK - $5,100, FD - $5,200)

Anytime a defender, who plays on the top d pairing, like Werenski, is up against a team with dangerous forwards, I want to play him. This is the case tonight for Werenski going up against the Ovechkin and the Capitals. He will be seeing a ton of minutes tonight, to counter the Washington forwards, and with Werenski taking over two shots per game, and blocking one shot per game, he has plenty of time to rack up points.

Darnell Nurse - D, EDM @ CGY (DK - $4,100, FD - $4,200)

Nurse is another player who will be seeing a ton of minutes tonight, since he will be up against the high flying Flames top line. He averages well over 20 minutes a game, but is more of a GPP option for me. He only plays on the top defensive pairing, and is not on the power-play, so the offense is limited for him. He takes and blocks a good amount of shots per game, just the lack of actual offense can be the downside.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Carey Price - G, MON vs DET (DK - $8,000, FD - $8,900)

Price is back from his injury and looking in top form. He has four straight wins, and only allowed five goals over that span. You could say he is due for a loss at this point, but the entire Montreal team seems to have stepped up there game, and are back on home ice against Detroit, who has an average offense, and you shouldn't be afraid of them. Like him in all formats tonight.
