Brandon Finnegan Heads Into Camp Healthy
7 years agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Brandon Finnegan (shoulders) had surgery on his left shoulder and also had surgery on his right shoulder to repair a torn labrum last July, but he's reporting to spring camp this year completely healthy. The left-hander tossed seven shutout innings against the Phillies in his first start last year, but it was all downhill from there, and he made just four starts on the season because of his shoulder ailments. Finnegan has a nasty sinker when healthy, though, and he could be a late-round sleeper after going 10-11 with a 3.97 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in 2016. He should have a spot locked up in Cincy's rotation.
