FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (2/15/18): Daily Fantasy Hockey Advice

We have a massive 11 game slate tonight, and there are good options on the board. Stacking will be big tonight, so look for some value where you can, and then load up on the star skaters where you can afford them.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually 5.5 goals is average, so targets games at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 2/15/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Connor McDavid - C, EDM @ VGK (DK - $7,400, FD - $9,100)

McDavid is expensive as always, but has multi-point upside almost every night. In his last seven games, he has totaled 13 points, which is exactly the type of production you want out of a high end player. He is on the first forward line and the first power-play unit, so plenty of shifts on the ice to pick up some points. He is taking over three shots per game, and has 66 points in 55 games this season. He can be used in either format since he has plenty of consistency, and multi-point upside which is great for tournaments.

Kyle Palmieri - W, NJ vs CAR (DK - $5,400, FD - $5,700)

Palmieri is a bit of a cheaper option on the slate tonight, and has some solid upside. He is taking just under three shots per game, is on the first forward line and the first power-play unit. Plenty of upside for him, considering he is up against the Hurricanes, who are giving up three goals per game. He has three goals in his last five games, so a bit of a hot streak here we want to jump on in this favorable matchup. The Hurricanes generally give up a decent amount of shots, and using Palmieri on a stack isn't too expensive, and can fit nicely into most lineups.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Roman Josi - D, NSH vs CGY (DK - $6,100, FD - $6,200)

Josi is a a flat out stud in real hockey and DFS, so you want him in any lineup you have the salary. He plays on the first defensive pairing and the second power-play unit, for about 25 minutes of ice time per game. Josi is a workhorse for the Predators, and produces fantasy points in multiple ways when he is out on the ice. He is taking over three shots per game, blocking over one shot per game, and has four points over his last six games. Several ways for him to fill up the stat sheet, making him a great cash game play due to his consistency.

Ryan Pulock - D, NYI vs NYR (DK - $4,500, FD - $3,800)

Pulock is decently cheap across the industry, and finds himself in a nice rivalry game tonight. He is is up against the Rangers, in a game which has a total set at 6.5 goals, which is very high for the NHL. If you are rolling out multiple lineups tonight, you will certainly want some exposure to this one. He is on the second defensive pairing and the second power-play unit, and up against a struggling Rangers team. He makes more of a GPP option, and should be used in a stack for the most upside. Pulock is taking over two shots per game, and is blocking over one shot per game.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Andrei Vasilevskiy - G, TB vs DET (DK - $8,400, FD - $9,400)

The Lightning have lost two games in a row, and losing a third simply won't happen. They are too good of a team to be losing games like this, and now back at home they are -260 favorites according to Vegas. Vasilevskiy is the most expensive goalie on both sites, so you will need to find the savings elsewhere, but he is as close to a lock to come away with the win as you can get. He has 33 wins in 47 starts this season, and sees about 30 shots per game, so plenty of time to rack up points.
