Jon Gruden Hoping Marshawn Lynch Returns
7 years agoOakland Raiders new head coach Jon Gruden said that running back Marshawn Lynch is currently "our leading ball carrier. He's our back, and we're counting on him." Gruden further went on, saying, "Hopefully we get an opportunity to work together. that’s a man that has a lot of respect in this league as a player and I certainly have respect for him also." Beast Mode was productive in 2017 after taking a year off, running 207 times for 891 yards (4.3 yards per carry) and seven touchdowns in 15 games. He was actually one of the most consistent weapons on an offense that took a major step forward under quarterback Derek Carr. Gruden was brought in to try and turn that around, and if Lynch decides to return for the final year of his deal, he'll surely be the bell-cow back and an RB2 for fantasy owners.
