ANALYSIS: Chapman could end up being the most valuable Matt in Oakland’s starting lineup by the end of 2018, as the star defender also boasts a power bat yet to be recognized at the Major League level. Chapman’s 14 homers in 326 PAs is decent, but not enough to offset a zero in steals and a .234 average. However, he cranked 36 jacks in 2016 and had hit 16 bombs in just 204 Triple-A PAs prior to his promotion last year.
