7 years agoSan Jose Sharks defenseman Brent Burns played a part in both of the team's goals on Tuesday, providing primary assists -- one on a power play -- to Logan Couture and Timo Meier in a 4-2 loss to Dallas. The Sharks looked set for a blowout win after taking a two-goal lead in the opening 16 minutes, but Jamie Benn scored a hat trick and the Stars won in the end. The final period was especially ugly for San Jose, as they managed to record just one shot on goal. Burns, who has been slumping most of the year, has quietly picked up 65 points, with 40 of them coming in 2018. He's still one of the best offensive defensemen in the game and is an elite fantasy player, as he adds a bunch of peripheral stats to his name on a nightly basis.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
