7 years agoOklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook made sure that he has a realistic chance of averaging a triple-double for a second consecutive season as he posted his new season high with 18 boards against Miami on Monday. He now needs 16 rebounds from the regular season finale against Memphis to get to triple-double numbers for the season. He had his 25th triple-double of the season against the Heat, adding 23 points on 8-for-21 shooting and 13 assists. OKC clinched their playoff spot with the win over Miami, but they are still playing for better seeding, so Westbrook will get a good runout on Wednesday and don't be surprised if he gets 20-plus boards, as the team will do everything to help him to another historical achievement.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
