7 years agoMiami Marlins reliever turned starter Jarlin Garcia was masterful in Wednesday's no-decision, throwing six no-hit innings before being pulled by skipper Don Mattingly. Garcia, who began the season out of the bullpen, shut down the New York Mets for six hitless innings while striking out three, but didn't have enough gas in the tank to keep going, according to beat reporter Joe Frisaro. In typical Marlins fashion, the bullpen squandered Garcia's no-hit outing and the team left with a 4-1 loss. Despite the no-decision, Garcia offers the Marlins a glimmer of hope for the future.--Steven Slivka
