7 years agoAtlanta Braves pitching prospect Mike Soroka went 5 2/3 innings and struck out eight batters Thursday for Triple-A Gwinnett. Soroka gave up two runs but didn’t walk a batter. It was a very good outing for Soroka, who seemingly has nothing else left to prove at the minor league level. The Braves are likely to promote Soroka this season and it may be earlier than expected. Keep an eye on the former first-round pick who owns a career 2.87 ERA and 7.9 K/9 in four seasons in the minor leagues.
