7 years agoHouston Astros outfield prospect Yordan Alvarez has hit safely in eight of his first nine games for Double-A Corpus Christi. The 6’5 225 pound outfielder now has seven RBI and a home run to add to his .310 average. Still just 20-years-old, Alvarez is likely to spend the full season in Double-A, but given his frame and strong bat speed, he should be up in the big leagues within the next few years. For now, he remains a name to keep in mind for future years to come as the Astros already have plenty of options in the outfield and Kyle Tucker in Triple-A.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
