7 years agoThe San Francisco Giants have placed outfielder Hunter Pence (thumb) on the 10-day disabled list with a right thumb injury. Pence has been off to a slow start, hitting just .172 in 58 at-bats. Replacing Pence on the Giants roster will be Mac Williamson. Williamson has been on fire for Triple-A Sacramento, hitting .487 with six home runs so far, but he owns a .226 career average as a major leaguer in 212 at-bats. Williamson, Gregor Blanco and Gorkys Hernandez all figure to get playing time with Pence out. The trio of options are only relevant in AL-only leagues in the short term.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
