We have a splits slate of games, but the majority of them are on the 7 PM main slate. There are some fantastic pitching options on the slate, so you will need to find some value plays out there to fit these aces in your lineups.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/21/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Chris Sale - P, BOS @ OAK (FD - $11,500)
Sale is the best pitcher on the night slate, and you should be doing everything you can to get him into your cash game lineups. He comes in with 31 strikeouts in 22 innings this season, which is good for a 36% strikeout rate, which is highest on the slate. He also has a swinging strike rate of 15%, along with only allowing three earned runs over his four starts. This is also a massive positive park shift in his favor being away from Fenway, and now being in Oakland. Speaking of the Athletics, they come in with an implied run total of 3.21, which is the lowest on the slate. He will be chalky, but he is the best pitcher on the slate.
James Paxton - P, SEA @ TEX (FD - $9,000)
Paxton is slightly cheaper compared to Sale and is in this next tier of pitchers. He has upside and a bit of a favorable matchup in front of him, so let's take a look. Paxton has posted three straight games of seven strikeouts or more while only allowing five earned runs over that span. Tonight Paxton and the Mariners are up against the Rangers, who have a 23% strikeout rate vs left-handed pitchers, which is about league average. This is a negative park shift for him being in Texas, but the strikeout upside is there for him and is a nice pivot off of Godley or Keuchel.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Victor Martinez - C, DET vs KAN (FD - $2,500)
Martinez is a cheaper option for the earlier slate and comes in with a nice history against the Royals pitcher. That pitcher is Danny Duffy, who Martinez has owned over the course of his career. In that time, Martinez has a .385 AVG, .477 wOBA with three home runs in 39 at-bats. Really like this spot for him, at home, in a great hitters park.
Paul Goldschmidt - 1B, ARI vs SDP (FD - $4,600)
Goldschmidt is in a great spot tonight, and you should be considering him in all formats. He has a .574 wOBA and a .522 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers, which should put him in a good spot, considering he is up against Clayton Richard, who is giving up a 35% hard contact rate this season. I called the home run last week with Renfroe, and I think Goldy is my home run call of the day. Yup, I just did it. Home run for Goldschmidt tonight, book it.
Asdrubal Cabrera - 2B, NYM @ ATL (FD - $4,000)
Cabrera comes into this game with a 172 wRC+ and a .269 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers, which should put him in a good spot to continue this hot streak. He has nine hits in his last five games, with four doubles in that span. A bit of a positive park shift for him being away from Citi Field should provide an additional boost for him tonight.
Kris Bryant - 3B, CHC @ COL (FD - $5,300)
Bryant has a .569 wOBA and a .300 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers, making this an ideal spot to target him. The Coors Field boost is true not only for his salary but his production as well. The Cubs are coming off a massive offensive outburst and we should be in for much of the same since they are up against Tyler Anderson, who has given up 1.38 H/9 to right-handed hitters over his career.
Zack Cozart - SS, LAA vs SFG (FD - $3,300)
Cozart is off to a decent start this year, and with him being out of the lineup yesterday, he should be set to return to it today. The Angels are in a great spot today since they are up against Derek Holland, who is garbage. Last season he gave up a .408 wOBA to right-handed hitters, along with 2.26 HR/9.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Dee Gordon - OF, SEA @ TEX (FD - $3,400)
Gordon has a 101 wRC+ vs right-handed pitchers this season and comes in with four hits over his last three games. Gordon is up against Bartolo Colon, who oddly enough, won't be having a no-hitter every start. Last season, Colon gave up a .381 wOBA to lefties, which should give Gordon plenty of upside. Alos, once he gets on base, he is a threat to steal bases, which are great points.
J.D. Martinez - OF, BOS @ OAK (FD - $4,800)
Martinez got the day off yesterday, so he is likely to be in there tonight. This season he has a 192 wRC+ and a .091 ISO vs left-handed pitchers. He is due for some positive regression when it comes to the power department vs lefties, and with the historic success he has against lefties, it will be coming. Not the best hitters park, but he, along with the Sox offense, is so hot right now, they are hard to fade.
