7 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Sean Manea pitched a no-hitter against the offensively explosive Red Sox in a 3-0 win on Saturday. Even more remarkable was he outpitched ace Chris Sale in the effort. Coming into the game, Manaea had a career 13.50 ERA against the Red Sox with a record of 1-2. To start the 2018 season, he had a 1.63 ERA in four games with 20 strikeouts and four walks in 27 innings. He carried that dominance into this game and finished with 10 strikeouts and only two walks allowed. The schedule does not get any easier for Manaea as he takes on the Astros in Houston in his next start.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
