7 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Mark Melancon (forearm) threw 20 pitches of batting practice on Thursday. Melancon hit outfielder Mac Williamson (concussion), who is recovering from a concussion, on the wrist. Williamson appeared to be OK. Manager Bruce Bochy said that Melancon will begin a two-week rehab assignment in the minors on Sunday or Monday. With Hunter Strickland holding his own as the club’s closer, it may be a while before Melancon is ready to help fantasy owners.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
