We have a split slate of games, with eight in the early window and only four on the night slate. There are some solid options regardless of what slate you are trying to play, so I'll try and hit on a few players from each slate.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 6/16/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Max Scherzer - P, WAS @ TOR (FD - $12,000)
Listen, Max Scherzer is the best pitcher in baseball and you should be trying to play him anytime he is on the slate. He comes in with a 33% strikeout rate vs left-handed hitters and a 44% strikeout rate vs right-handed hitters. Insane numbers from him, and it doesn't stop there. He has eight or more strikeouts in nine of his last 10 starts, with six games at 10 or more. Today is he up against the Blue Jays, who have a 23.7% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers, which is in bottom 10 of the league. Great overall spot for Scherzer today and you should be looking to play him in your cash games.
Sean Newcomb - P, ATL vs SDP (FD - $8,900)
Newcomb is a good young pitcher for the Braves, but he has been struggling a bit as of late. He has allowed three or more walks in four of his last seven starts while allowing 10 earned runs in his last four starts. He has a chance to right the ship today, as he is up against the Padres, who have a 25% strikeout rate this season vs left-handed pitchers. Also, as a team, the Padres have a 94 wRC+, which shows they truly aren't too threatening. Really like him as a tournament option today, due to the strikeout upside vs the Padres.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Joey Votto - 1B, CIN @ PIT (FD - $4,300)
Votto has a .425 wOBA and a .157 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers, along with having four of his six home runs against them. We know that the power hasn't been there a ton for Votto this season, but he is up against Ivan Nova, who is giving up 1.23 HR/9 to lefties this season. Nice chance for him to get a bit of power going.
DJ LeMahieu - 2B, COL @ TEX (FD - $3,500)
LeMahieu is way, way, too cheap today, and should be trying to get him into any of your lineups tonight. He comes in with a MASSIVE .450 wOBA and a .292 ISO vs left-handed pitchers this season, which will play well tonight, as he is up against Mike Minor, who is giving up a .374 wOBA to righties. Great hitter's park and too cheap tonight.
Colin Moran - 3B, PIT vs CIN (FD - $2,500)
Moran is very cheap today and will come in with the platoon advantage against Luis Castillo. Moran has a solid .336 wOBA and a .153 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season, which are surprisingly good numbers for a player at his price. Love him for the salary savings, which will help you get up to Scherzer.
Manny Machado - SS, BAL vs MIA (FD - $4,200)
Machado is in a bit of a slump right now, but with that, we have seen his price drop ever so slightly. So, not a bad time to buy back in on him, since he is facing down a great matchup. Speaking of his matchup, he is up against Wei-Yin Chen, who is giving up 1.80 HR/9 to right-handed hitters this season. Machado has a .278 ISO vs left-handed pitchers this season, just not showing in his recent stretch of games.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Mike Trout - OF, LAA @ OAK (FD - $5,500)
I shouldn't have to tell you this, but I will, anytime you have the salary to roster Trout, you should be doing so. He is up against Sean Manaea, who is giving up a 44% hard contact rate to right-handed hitters, along with 1.48 HR/9. Trout is on fire lately, with four home runs in his last three games (not including last night). Play Trout in any format you want, as he has massive scoring upside, despite this being a pitcher's park.
Ender Inciarte - OF, ATL vs SDP (FD - $3,000)
Inciarte is priced very nicely today and you should be able to fit him into any type of lineup. He has hits in four of his last five games, with one double and one home run. Solid power from him, which should continue today, considering he is going up against Jordan Lyles, who is giving up a 40% fly ball rate to lefties, along with 1.29 HR/9.
