7 years agoThe Carolina Panthers and right tackle Daryl Williams face a "monster gap" financially in contract negotiations, according to a source close to the process. A league source said Tuesday that it would be "shocking" if the two sides agreed to an extension before training camp begins in July. Williams, a fourth-round pick in 2015, played every offensive snap last year and graded out as Pro Football Focus' highest rated right tackle. If the Panthers are smart they'll find a way to keep him around, as Williams is a huge plus for the team's running game.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
