Dallas Keuchel Takes 6.35 June ERA Into Friday Start
6 years agoHouston Astros starter Dallas Keuchel will try and get his season on track when the team opens up a series at home against the Royals. Keuchel (4-8) has been the weak link in a stellar Astros rotation this season and is 1-1 with a 6.35 ERA over his past three starts. It has been a brutal month of June for the left-hander and his stuff simply is not as crisp as season's past. Keuchel will face the Royals for the second time in just over a week and allowed two runs (zero earned) in six innings against Kansas City on June 16. Currently, Keuchel's 7.0 strikeouts per nine innings would be his lowest output since 2014, and he has already allowed 12 home runs in 91 innings pitched. Keuchel will be worth a fantasy play for Friday's matchup but will be tough to trust in the long term until he shows more consistency.
