6 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Dee Gordon will look to extend his hitting streak to 10 games when the team faces off against the Red Sox on Friday. Gordon is 15-for-39 (.384) during the streak and has regained his confidence after a 10-for-70 (.142) stretch from mid-May into June. Gordon provides very little power at the plate but has 19 stolen bases and his splits across the board are fairly consistent. His 41:4 K:BB ratio certainly could improve moving forward but he has done a nice job setting the table at the top of an improved Mariners lineup this season. He will be leaned on even more to jump start the offense with shortstop Jean Segura out the next few days with a forearm infection.--Joey C - RotoBaller
