7 years agoCarolina Panthers tight end Chris Manhertz (foot), who suffered a left foot injury in minicamp, is unlikely to be ready for the start of training camp this month. However, he's still the favorite for No. 2 duties behind Greg Olsen in 2018. The other tight ends on roster are Ian Thomas, Jason Vander Laan and Evan Baylis. Coaches have liked what they've seen from Thomas, and he could contribute in his rookie season. Still, Manhertz would be the beneficiary of a starting role if Olsen were to go down with an injury.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
