7 years agoWashington Nationals catcher Matt Wieters (hamstring) could start a rehab assignment as early as this Friday, according to manager Dave Martinez. Wieters could return around the All-Star break if he doesn't have any setbacks during his rehab assignment. However, he was hitting just .231 with three home runs and seven RBI in 65 at-bats before his injury. Wieters doesn't provide much offense to fantasy owners these days and is nothing more than a second backstop in two-catcher leagues when he's healthy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
