7 years agoDetroit Tigers closer Shane Greene (shoulder) has thrown each of the last three days and is scheduled to come off the 10-day disabled list on Friday against the Astros. It remains to be seen if the Tigers will actually activate Greene this weekend or wait until after the All-Star break, but he should be ready to return shortly. That'll push Joe Jimenez back into a setup role. The Tigers are probably hoping Greene can showcase himself a little bit before the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
