7 years agoThe Baltimore Orioles are willing to trade shortstop Manny Machado to the Yankees if pitching prospect Justus Sheffield is included in the deal, according to a source. However, the Yankees may not want to move Sheffield for a rental player, even one of Machado's caliber. Sheffield is ranked as the 39th overall prospect in baseball and New York's second prospect by MLB.com, which is why the Yanks would give pause. The left-hander has a 2.44 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 95 K's in 15 starts (85 innings) between Double-A and Triple-A this year.
