7 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder David Dahl (foot) did some jogging on Wednesday after taking swings in the cages, although he's not quite ready to play in games. Dahl has been running for around two weeks but ran the warning track and did agility drills on Wednesday. His next step will be taking reads in the outfield and then he'll need to go on a minor league rehab assignment. There is no timetable for Dahl to return to the Rockies, but he's getting closer. The left-handed hitter has a lot of potential at hitter-friendly Coors Field, but he continues to be plagued by injuries, and the team's crowded outfield depth chart doesn't help matters. Whenever he returns, Dahl can be useful in deep mixed and NL-only leagues as long as he sees consistent playing time.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
