7 years agoBoston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia (knee) has his doubts about whether he will return in 2018 as he recovers from knee reconstruction. The 34-year-old returned May 26 but landed back on the disabled list on June 2 and has headed to Arizona to continue treatment and rehab. "I've healed quick with every other injury I've had. But this is obviously different," Pedroia told reporters Wednesday. "You can't risk it. If I come back too early and the graft fails, then that's it." Manager Alex Cora thinks Pedroia will be back, but Pedroia said he'll know more "in four to five weeks." With the way the Red Sox are playing, they have zero reason to rush Pedroia back. No fantasy owners are holding out hope that the veteran second baseman return, and he should left on all waiver wires for now.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
