7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Luke Gregerson (knee) was activated from the 10-day disabled list on Friday, and starting pitcher Luke Weaver was optioned to Triple-A Memphis. Also, reliever Tyler Lyons (elbow) was activated from the DL and John Brebbia was sent to Memphis. Gregerson has thrown only 8 1/3 innings this year due to various ailments, but he could return to a key setup role for the Cardinals if he's healthy. Weaver went 5-8 with a 4.72 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 8.4 K/9 in his 19 starts in the first half and should return to the rotation after the All-Star break.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
