7 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Marco Estrada (gluteus) was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a strained glute on Friday. Outfielder Dwight Smith Jr. was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding move. Estrada's injury isn't too serious, so he should be able to return to the rotation shortly after the All-Star break. The right-hander has had his moments this year and hadn't allowed more than three earned runs in a start since May 29 against the Red Sox. He can certainly be useful in the right matchups, but his fantasy upside is limited with a 7.0 K/9 over his 89 2/3 innings pitched. If he's not keeping the ball down and getting ground balls, he can have disastrous outings.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
