7 years agoKansas City Royals pitcher Burch Smith will start on Sunday against the White Sox in what will be a bullpen day for the Royals, according to manager Ned Yost. Smith is expected to go around three innings. The right-hander has appeared in 25 games this year, including one start, and has a 5.83 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 9.3 K/9. In his lone start last Wednesday, Smith allowed four earned runs on seven hits in just 3 1/3 innings to the Twins.
