7 years agoVeteran outfielder Austin Jackson has officially been released by the Texas Rangers. Jackson was expected to be released after being traded by the Giants to Texas in a salary dump move. Jackson was hitting .242/.309/.295 with 13 runs knocked in over 59 games with the Giants this season. He performed fantastic with the Indians in 2017, but was unable to hit the same with San Francisco. There is a chance he lands elsewhere, but it most likely be a bench spot with little playing time. Depending on his playing time, he could become a fantasy option, but belongs on the waiver wire right now.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
