7 years agoTampa Bay Rays infielder Christian Arroyo (oblique) was activated from the disabled list on Monday and then optioned to Triple-A Durham. The Rays feel Arroyo needs more time in the minors, as he's hit under .200 at Durham. He's slashing .264/.339/.396 with only one homer and six RBI in 53 at-bats at the big league level. With Matt Duffy, Adeiny Hechavarria, Daniel Robertson and Joey Wendle all active in the bigs, there's just no room for Arroyo right now.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
