7 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Jeff Samardzija (shoulder), who landed on the 10-day disabled list again on Saturday with inflammation in his right shoulder, could pitch the fifth game of the second half of the season on July 25 at the Mariners. It's the third time the Shark has been on the DL this season after he gave up two runs and three hits in four innings against the A's over the weekend. Surgery isn't being mentioned as a course of action for Samardzija, according to manager Bruce Bochy. Samardzija has been a bad fantasy option this year with his 1-5 record and 6.25 ERA in 10 starts.
