7 years agoChicago White Sox relief pitcher Thyago Vieira has been recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday. Vieira posted a 5.05 ERA and 50/24 K/BB ratio over 41 innings in Triple A this season. The hard-throwing righty had an ugly ERA, but did manage to save six games for Charlotte, and only allowed two home runs through 41 innings. Joakim Soria was traded to the Brewers, so the White Sox closer role is up for grabs. There is a good chance that Vieira gets some save opportunities this season.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
