We have a nine-game slate giving us plenty of options to pick from, along with no Coors Field, so ownership should be spread out. There are a few big name arms on the bump tonight, so you will be looking to have exposure to them in your lineups.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 8/2/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Zack Greinke - P, ARI vs SFG (FD - $11,000)
Greinke is a nice pivot off of Scherzer tonight and comes in with a great matchup to take advantage of. He is facing off against the Giants, who are seriously struggling right now, making this a perfect time to pick on them. Since the start of July, the Giants have a 22.7% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers, a .279 team wOBA and a SUPER LOW .112 team ISO. Those are some terrible numbers and with Greinke coming with 26 strikeouts in his last three starts, along with only two earned runs in that span. Giants are struggling right now, while Greinke is surging.
Nick Pivetta - P, PHI vs MIA (FD - $8,300)
Anytime there is a somewhat competent pitcher going up against the Marlins you should be interested. As is the case with Pivetta today, which should make him a nice mid-range option tonight. He has a 29% strikeout rate this season, a 7% walk rate, and a 12% swinging strike rate. Those are some solid numbers, which should allow him to control a Marlins team who comes in with a .300 team wOBA vs right-handed pitchers. Pivetta has seven or more strikeouts in three straight starts, but has allowed three or more earned runs in each of those starts.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Matt Adams - 1B, WAS vs CIN (FD - $2,900)
Adams seems a bit too cheap today considering the matchup he has, so he should be viable in all formats. He comes in with a .409 wOBA and a .295 ISO vs right-handed pitchers and is now facing off against Tyler Mahle, who is giving up 2.66 HR/9 to lefties this season. Great price on him, along with plenty of power upside.
Charlie Culberson - 2B, ATL @ NYM (FD - $2,600)
Savings is the name of the game today with so many expensive pitchers, so Culberson should fit nicely into your lineups. He has a modest .300 wOBA vs left-handed pitchers this season but is facing off against Jason Vargas, who is giving up a .420 wOBA to righties. The Braves also come in with an implied total set at 4.66, which is very solid for this being a pitcher's park.
Christian Villanueva - 3B, SDP @ CHC (FD - $2,700)
Villaneuva is also pretty cheap today and comes in with massive power numbers. He has .450 wOBA and a .417 ISO vs left-handed pitchers, yet he is under $3K somehow. Love the savings on him, home run upside, and getting a positive park shift being away from San Diego tonight.
Addison Russell - SS, CHC vs SDP (FD - $2,700)
Russell comes in with a .358 wOBA and a .161 ISO vs left-handed pitchers this season. He will have the platoon advantage today vs Robbie Erlin, who is a reliever but will be making the start at Wrigley today.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Shin-Soo Choo - OF, TEX vs BAL (FD - $2,900)
Tonight we spell chalk, Choo. There is a significant chance Choo ends up being the highest owned player in cash games tonight for a few reasons. One, he is simply too cheap for the level of production he has shown for large portions of the season. Two, he is at home in a great hitter's park in a fantastic matchup. He comes in with a .403 wOBA and a .247 ISO vs right-handed pitchers, and will now be up against Andrew Cashner, who is giving up 1.58 HR/9 to lefties this season.
Joc Pederson - OF, LOS vs MIL (FD - $2,900)
Pederson has a .399 wOBA and a .291 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season, which should put him in a good spot vs Chacin, who is giving up a .333 wOBA to lefties this year. Dodgers make a nice late night stack up against Chacin, who has historically been hit very hard by lefties.
