7 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Drew Smyly (elbow) threw a simulated game on Thursday. It appears that Smyly is making good progress in his recovery from Tommy John surgery. It's unclear when Smyly is going to return, but he could be nearing a rehab assignment. There is a decent chance he joins the Cubs pitching staff before the end of the regular season. However, Smyly is not likely going to make much of an impact in fantasy leagues.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
