6 years agoOakland Raiders wide receiver Griff Whalen had a positive preseason opener versus the Lions and is looking to build on that Saturday against the Rams. Whalen played on 14 offensive snaps against the Lions, with both the first and second units. He followed that up with a strong week of practice where he again worked with the first unit, ahead of Ryan Switzer. Whalen also had a bit of work in the return game, further showing his value in what is a tight competition after the top two receivers for the Raiders.--Tom Vecchio - RotoBaller
