6 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver Deandre Carter is expected to have an increased role in Thursday night's home opener versus the Atlanta Falcons. Carter made the team's 53-man roster as the sixth wideout. With top receiver Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) and second-year receiver Mack Hollins (groin) out for the opener, Carter has been elevated on the depth chart. The first-year pro could see some time on the field against the Falcons either in the slot or out wide when the Eagles use three wide receivers. Carter hauled in 10 passes for 178 yards and averaged 12.7 yards on three punt returns during the preseason. Since his role is currently undefined, Carter does not possess real value in fantasy football. However, he could be worth a flier by DFS players in contests that involve just the Eagles and Falcons.--Daniel Benjamin
