Marcedes Lewis To Have Limited Role In Week 1
6 years agoGreen Bay tight end Marcedes Lewis is unlikely to see many, if any, targets on Sunday night when the Chicago Bears come to Green Bay. Lewis is second on the depth chart at tight end behind Jimmy Graham. Lewis was signed primarily for his ability as a blocker. While he is a capable, although underwhelming, receiver he isn’t likely to get many looks. Green Bay does not have a history of utilizing their starting tight end much in the passing game, let alone their backups. Lewis would only have value if Graham were to miss time, and even then, his value would be limited. Lewis should not be owned in any fantasy leagues.
