6 years agoHouston Astros starter Gerrit Cole will look to win his third straight decision when the Astros open up a series against the Red Sox on Friday. Cole (13-5) kicks off a possible playoff preview and is 3-0 over his past four starts. Cole is far past the mini-lull on the mound that he suffered in late July and has at least seven strikeouts in 11 of his last 12 starts. Cole is averaging a career-best 12.40 K/9 this season and a sparkling 1.03 WHIP. The veteran will face one of the most potent lineups in baseball but still needs to be active in most formats.--Joey C - RotoBaller
