6 years agoIt was looking like Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers (knee) may have been done for the year following an awkward sack in the second quarter of a Week 1 matchup against the Chicago Bears. However, Rodgers came back onto the field in the second half and shrugged off a slow start to lead Green Bay to victory. Rodgers was 20-for-30 passing with 286 yards and three touchdowns in the game, with most of his production coming on a single leg. Green Bay was frustrated by Chicago’s defense early, but found success when they transitioned to a quicker passing game. Rodgers is simply incredible and demonstrated why he should always be considered a top fantasy option if he is on the field. There is no word yet on the seriousness of the injury. Despite coming back onto the field, Rodgers may miss a significant amount of time. If he does, quarterback Deshone Kizer would take his place. Kizer would struggle to fill Rodgers shoes and shouldn’t be considered a useful handcuff.--Tyger McGuiggan
