6 years agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco is 100 percent healthy for the first time in three seasons, and it showed in Week 1. Against Buffalo in the season opener, Flacco looked more decisive, mobile and accurate than he has in a long time. He picked the Bills defense apart as he completed 25 of his 34 passes (73.5 completion percentage) for 234 yards and three scores. His performance in the opener is very good news for the Ravens, as he has not been very good lately. Over the last three seasons (2015-17), Flacco ranked No. 33 among NFL quarterbacks as he threw 52 touchdowns and 40 interceptions, although he did complete over 64 percent of his passes during this period. Part of Flacco's problem was health-related; he tore his ACL and MCL in his left knee, causing him to miss the last six games in 2015. The Delaware product missed all of spring practice in 2016 while recovering from the injury. Last season he was forced to sit out all of training camp and the preseason with a back injury. With an improved receiving corps and given the fact that Cincinnati's secondary is exploitable, Flacco should be in play for fantasy owners as a QB2 for Week 2.--Daniel Benjamin
