Alex Collins Thrives In Passing Game
6 years agoBaltimore Ravens running back Alex Collins was held to just 35 yards rushing, although he hauled in three of four targets for an additional 55 yards in Thursday's 34-23 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Collins now has just 16 carries on the season, with nine coming against the Bengals. While there are different reasons -- against Cincinnati it was due to the Ravens falling behind early -- the 24-year-old's low workload is concerning. The good news is that the third-year back ran better in Week 2 and was more involved in the passing game than in Week 1. He now has multiple receptions in 10 of his last 12 games. Collins is definitely not living up to his RB2 billing, but he should still be an RB2/RB3 versus Denver In Week 3.
