Jordan Reed Is A Must-Start In Week 2
6 years agoWashington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed is one of the best tight ends in the game when he is healthy. But staying healthy has been a problem for the 28-year-old throughout his career. The sixth-year pro has appeared in just 53 of 81 career games, which includes missing 14 games over the last two seasons. Reed did not play during the preseason and he looked refreshed in the Redskins season-opening win over the Cardinals, hauling in four of five targets for 48 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Alex Smith has a history of targeting tight ends a lot and Reed should be able to exploit a porous Indianapolis secondary in Week 2. The Colts surrendered five receptions for 57 yards to Cincinnati's trio of tight ends in Week 1. Given everything, Reed is projected to be a top-five play in Week 2.
