Luis Castillo Tosses Gem Friday But Takes No-Decision
6 years agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Luis Castillo turned in another great start in Friday's 1-0 loss to the Marlins. Castillo pitched 8 1/3 innings, allowing no runs on five hits and a walk with five strikeouts. Unfortunately, his offense could not back him up for a win opportunity. The 25-year-old has had a much better second half of the season and is now 10-12 with a 4.30 ERA, 165 strikeouts, and 49 walks in 169 2/3 IP this season. He will make his final start of the season Friday against the Pirates.
