We're onto the Wildcard games! Is there anything better than postseason baseball? I can personally think of a few things, but not many! There are two games - one tonight and one Wednesday. I'll be outlining players from both games, as that is the slate we will be attacking!
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 10/2/18-10/3/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Pitcher
Kyle Freeland - P, at CHC ($8,900)
The pitching matchup in the second game - Oakland at New York - has yet to be announced, so I'm somewhat siding with safety here. Freeland has been throwing at a high level fro quite some time, posting a 7-0 record with a 2.42 ERA over his last 10 games. Over that span, he's averaging 41 fantasy points per game. This is a tough matchup against the Chicago Cubs, but the game is set at only 7 runs.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Matt Olson - C/1B, at NYY ($3,400)
Olson comes with a surprisingly cheap price tag for his recent success. Over his last 10 games, he owns a .273 average with a .485 slugging percentage and a .913 OPS. He's a powerful player that will be playing in a hitter friendly stadium, although his matchup is a bit unknown. He's tentatively expected to play against Masahiro Tanaka, but the Yankees have yet to announce he's the starter. Regardless, Olson can be used in all leagues.
Neil Walker - 2B, vs OAK ($2,600)
Walker is simply a bit too cheap at this price. He hasn't been playing that well, as he's only hitting .192 with a .538 slugging percentage and a .902 OPS over his last 10 games. Still, he's averaging 10.4 fantasy points per game, including four games with double digit fantasy points over that span. His opponent has yet to be formally announced, but the expectation is that Mike Fiers will draw the start. Walker makes a high upside salary relief option on this slate.
Nolan Arenado - 3B, at CHC ($4,300)
It's difficult to pay up for Arenado away from home at times, but on a two game slate against Jon Lester, a left-handed pitcher, it's rather easy. Arenado is hitting .333 with a .667 slugging percentage and a 1.062 OPS over his last 10 games. He also enters this game with 0.143 wOBA and 0.157 ISO differentials against lefties. He won't be playing in Colorado, but he is still playing in somewhat of a hitter friendly stadium, and he's an elite option tonight.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Giancarlo Stanton - OF, vs OAK ($4,400)
Stanton has caught fire recently, as he's hitting .300 with a .675 slugging percentage and a 1.079 OPS over his last 10 games. He owns seven extra-base hits (four home runs) and 11 RBIs in those games, as well. Furthermore, he's averaging 16.9 fantasy points per game over that span. He's likely to get a matchup against Mike Fiers, as mentioned above, and Stanton makes a great option on a limited slate.
Albert Almora - OF, vs COL ($2,500)
You'll need to find value somewhere, and Almora is expected to draw the start against Kyle Freeland. He's hitting .286 over his last 10 games, but he has seen limited at-bats, and has struggled with power. Still, he owns 0.026 wOBA and 0.018 ISO differentials against left-handed pitching, and he's the type of play necessary to get the bigger bats in your lineups.
