Derrick Rose Opens Preseason With Strong Play
6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point guard Derrick Rose is one of the candidates to jump into the starting lineup while the Timberwolves work out a trade to get rid of Jimmy Butler, but the former MVP has struggled over the past few seasons. On Saturday against the Warriors, Rose showed what he can still do in the NBA, scoring 16 points on 6-for-10 shooting and grabbing two steals, but he also failed to record a rebound and had just a single assist. Rose as a score-first guard in 2018 isn't going to scare opponents, and fantasy owners would be wise not to assume that Rose will shoot the ball this efficiently in the regular season.
