6 years agoGreen Bay running back Jamaal Williams had six carries for 29 yards in a Week 6 game against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night. He added one catch on three targets for 10 yards. Williams efficiency has improved from his dismal start to the year, although he is clearly a less dynamic runner than fellow running back Aaron Jones. Jones had more carries than Williams in the game. Despite sharing responsibilities with Aaron Jones and Ty Montgomery, Jamaal Williams still saw a large portion of the snaps. The coaches in Green Bay highly value is reliability as well as his versatility in the passing game. Still, Williams has not seen a large enough workload to have fantasy relevance this year and his workload seems to be shrinking. Williams doesn’t have enough upside to warrant rostering him over the long-term. While he has value as a bye week fill-in if you are in a bind, he does not need to be rostered going forward.--Tyger McGuiggan
