Jamaal Williams' Usage Will Be Too Low To Produce In Week 8
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers running back Jamaal Williams has had a rough start to the season. He is averaging 3.8 yards per carry despite fairly favorable circumstances and has yet to have a meaningful game for fantasy purposes. Additionally, he has lost ground to running back Aaron Jones, who started Green Bay’s last game. Williams was able to find success last year because Green Bay relied heavily on the run and let Williams get 20 or more touches per game. He simply isn’t efficient enough to produce much when he only touches the ball six times. This is especially true this week when Green Bay goes up against the tough run defense of the Los Angeles Rams. Williams is likely to see his current role continue to shrink. While he will have some production, the lack of upside makes rostering Williams an increasingly fruitless endeavor. He should not be started in any league format in Week 8 and should only be rostered in deep leagues.
